It would have been much more of a surprise to learn that he had not won the award. Considering the socialist bend of the majority of Europeans, the opportunity to select President Obama as the recipient would be to great to miss. The fact that he had only been the POTUS for twelve days since his inauguration obviously mattered not a whit when his stellar international achievements were analyzed by the esteemed Nobel selection committee. Space limitations restricted the list to only the top ten of President Obama's milestones in the furtherance of World Peace.
